The Wigs Experience

When our friends at The Brand New Idea told us they had a work experience placement in, we asked if she would like to do a blog piece for us! So here it is. A fantastic blog from Britney Eyre:

I was invited to Wigs and Warpaint for a pamper day and I can say that I was more than impressed with the result.

I arrived and was immediately greeted on reception, where I was checked in and asked to take a seat. Throughout the duration of the whole experience many members of staff often asked me if I needed anything (e.g. a drink or magazine). First I had a HD brow wax and shape. The beautician involved in this process was incredibly friendly and made sure that everything she was doing was to my tastes. Many question where asked prior to the HD brow wax so she could ensure she fully understood how I wanted her to do my eyebrows. Also, like many of the other members of staff she didn’t do anything without asking first and throughout the process gave me clear descriptions of what she was doing and why.

My brow wax turned out brilliantly and I would definitely have them done again. After my HD brow wax was my makeup. Once again after being asked how I liked my makeup the technician went ahead exactly to my desires, and I was more than pleased with the result. Next where nails, where I was moved to the nail station at which I was met by another technician who was welcoming and kind. After I chose colours and designs she went on to do my nails just the way I imagined them, in fact better than I imagined

After nails I moved on to hair where I was met by Claire who welcomed me with a smile, after dealing with my hair my whole life I fully understand how hard it is to style and mange. However, the staff at wigs exceeded my expectations and dealt extremely well with my frizzy curls. One wash, dry and cut later I left the salon fully made over and very happy with the services they provided for me.

The atmosphere at Wigs and Warpaint is joyful and exiting, the facilities are exceptional and the staff are just the right mix of friendly and professional. The salon is immaculately organised and everything has its place. The floor is swept often and all hair cleaned up. Wigs and Warpaint staff do everything they can to cater to you perfectly whether it be asking you questions, offering you a drink or purely just explaining the processes they are going through. Every customer that walks through their doors is treated impeccably. Being shown so much interest is lovely and I would definitely visit Wigs and Warpaint again.

Huge thank you to Brit for this great article! We wish you the best of luck with the rest of your school career and beyond! Love from all the wigs team x
