Why hair frizzes

Frizz happens when the cuticle lifts and the hair grabs moisture from the air — usually because it's dry, damaged or both. So the answer isn't just to flatten it on the day, it's to improve the condition underneath.

In-salon smoothing

A Kerasilk or keratin smoothing treatment relaxes and seals the cuticle, cutting drying time and keeping frizz down for months. It's the biggest single difference for frizz-prone or wavy hair.

Bonding and repair

Treatments like K18 and Olaplex work inside the hair to rebuild the bonds that breakage and over-processing destroy — stronger hair holds smoothness far better.

Aftercare at home

Use a sulphate-free shampoo, a weekly moisture mask, and never heat-style without a protectant. Drying with a microfibre towel rather than rubbing helps too.
