Colour that fits your hair—and your life.
We start with a conversation about your current shade, previous colour and the result you have in mind. Your stylist explains what is achievable, how the condition of your hair affects the plan and what upkeep to expect. We use professional colour systems, including Goldwell, and choose the approach for your hair rather than promising one formula for everyone. Larger changes may need more than one appointment. Wigs & Warpaint is rated 4.6 stars from 802 Google reviews. Bring your inspiration photographs and questions—we’ll help turn them into a realistic colour plan.
Colour services, chosen for your hair
Root Colour & Regrowth
A precise root touch-up that blends seamlessly with your existing colour. Ideal for maintaining your shade between full appointments.
Full Head Colour
Refresh or change the overall shade of your hair. We assess your starting colour and previous treatments first: going lighter may require a separate lightening service or a staged colour correction.
Toner & Gloss
Refine the tone of previously lightened hair or refresh your colour and shine. Your stylist selects the appropriate formula and explains how the tone will fade and when to return.
Colour Correction
Expert correction for uneven colour, banding, unwanted tones or previous salon mistakes. Requires a consultation to assess your hair and plan the process.
Grey Coverage & Softer Blending
Choose between more complete coverage and a softer blend that works with your natural grey. We discuss the finish you prefer, the contrast at your roots and the maintenance you can commit to.
Blondes, Highlights & Balayage
Add brightness or dimension with a lightening service planned around your starting colour. Placement, toner and upkeep are agreed during consultation; see our dedicated balayage guide for more detail.
Brunettes, Coppers & Creative Colour
From richer brunette tones to copper, red and expressive fashion shades, we plan colour around your starting point and condition. Some shades require pre-lightening, and vivid tones can need more frequent refreshing.
Your colour appointment Serious results.
First visit or fiftieth — here's what to expect.
Consultation & colour history
Bring inspiration and tell us about previous colour, home dyes and chemical treatments. We assess condition, agree the goal and explain the price. We arrange any required allergy alert or strand tests before treatment.
Your personalised colour service
Your colourist chooses the placement and formula for your agreed result, then checks development and rinses as appropriate. Toners, treatments and finishing services are discussed as part of your appointment plan.
Finish, aftercare & next visit
We review the colour with you and explain washing, heat protection and maintenance. Your stylist recommends a realistic time for your next root, toner or colour appointment.
Planning a colour change?
Tell us about home colour, henna, bleach, straightening and any previous reactions before your appointment. An inspiration picture is a helpful starting point, but the same shade can look different on another head of hair.
We explain any allergy alert testing required by the colour manufacturer and whether a strand test is appropriate. For a major change or colour correction, speak to us before booking so we can allow the right appointment time.
Your quote should cover the agreed colour work and clarify whether toner, treatments, cutting or finishing are included. We’ll discuss any change to the plan before proceeding.
Talk to Us About Your ColourProfessional Goldwell colour
We work with professional Goldwell colour as part of our salon colour services. Topchic is Goldwell’s permanent colour range, designed for lasting colour and grey coverage. The right shade and formula depend on your natural base, existing colour and the finish you want.
Permanent colour, lightening and toning do different jobs. A rich brunette refresh is a different appointment from lifting dark colour to blonde, and a toner refines the result rather than replacing the lightening stage. We explain the approach before you commit.
Bring Goldwell campaign images or other inspiration to your consultation. Supplier images show colour ideas; your achievable result depends on your own hair.
Your colour. Your upkeep.
Tell us how often you realistically want to visit. Full grey coverage can create a more noticeable regrowth line, while softer blending and carefully placed dimension may give a gentler grow-out. Your natural colour, haircut and styling routine all affect the choice.
If you want brightness with a softer root, ask about highlights or balayage. If your lengths look faded but your roots are fine, a toner or gloss may be the better conversation. We will help you choose the service rather than asking you to work out the technical name yourself.
Keep your colour looking good between visits
Your home routine should suit both your colour and the condition of your hair. We recommend an appropriate shampoo and conditioner, explain any treatment you need and show you how heat protection fits into styling. Choose a manageable routine you will actually use.
Avoid excessive heat and follow the washing and care advice given for your service. Purple shampoo is not a universal colour fix: ask before using toning products, particularly on porous or very light hair.
We stock professional aftercare and our own Wigs & Warpaint range. Your stylist can explain which products suit your hair, how much to use and when to book your next refresh.
